Qualifications

  • Must have relevant NDT qualification, including PCN Level 2 certified for DPI and MPI.
  • Certification for UT forged and wrought product would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of pipe fittings and flanges utilizing engineering measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering functions.
  • Conducts nondestructive examination and quality control inspections.
  • Captures and analyzes statistical data to confirm compliance with standards.

We are seeking a QUALITY INSPECTOR NDT TECHNICIAN-2 to support our team in Port Talbot.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions
  • Conducts nondestructive examination (NDE) and quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
  • Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
  • Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures, and standards
Qualifications
  • Must have relevant NDT qualification, including PCN Level 2 certified for DPI and MPI or ASNT 2 in aforementioned disciplines
  • A candidate holding certification for UT forged and wrought product would be a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of pipe fittings and flanges utilizing engineering measuring equipment
  • Experience within XRF techniques
  • Understanding the properties of materials, manufacturing processes, and methods
