Job Description:

Our client, a leading Scientific Imaging Manufacturer, is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Assurance Associate / Inspector to join their team.

The Quality Assurance Associate / Inspector will support the control and management of documentation and processes related to the Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Health & Safety (H&S).

Responsibilities include ensuring quality and compliance of engineering processes and products, developing and monitoring quality control systems, and working closely with relevant departments.

Key areas of responsibility

  1. Goods Inwards Inspection
  2. Carry out Goods Inward inspection for component parts, ensuring compliance to specifications.
  3. Perform visual inspections, manual measurements, and operate OGP inspection equipment.
  4. Maintain accurate inspection records and suggest process improvements.
  5. Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) as needed.
  6. Analyze quality data for trends and improvements.
  7. Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  1. Calibration
  2. Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment per internal procedures.
  1. QMS Support
  2. Maintain, update, and organize QMS, EMS, and H&S documentation.
  3. Support process implementation and improvement to meet standards.
  4. Ensure document version control and accessibility.
  1. Compliance and Auditing
  2. Assist with audits and inspections for QMS, EMS, H&S compliance.
  3. Coordinate corrective actions based on audit findings.
  1. Training Coordination
  2. Organize and track employee training, including inductions.
  1. Data Analysis & Reporting
  2. Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics and trends.
  3. Communicate procedures to relevant departments.
  1. H&S and Environmental Management
  2. Support sustainability initiatives and waste management.
  3. Coordinate COSHH processes and procedures.
  1. Customer & Supplier Quality
  2. Collaborate with suppliers and customers on quality concerns.
  3. Coordinate final goods inspection before shipping.

Desired Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent in engineering, quality management, or related field (desirable).
  • 1-2 years experience in quality assurance or engineering support, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO) and documentation control.
  • Experience managing SDS, COSHH, risk assessments, and audits.
