Quality Inspector

Full-time

Night Shift 5:00PM-3:30AM

Brighton, CO

The General Purpose:

The Quality Inspector tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process, compiles and evaluates statistical data to ensure the quality and reliability of Nacelles/Hub and DT.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify defects impacting Defects per Unit (DPU) and First Pass Yield (FPY); collaborate with Production and Technical Support to resolve issues.
  2. Create and maintain documentation to support improvement methods.
  3. Coach and support production team members on assembly processes; liaise with other departments for issue resolution.
  4. Handle non-conformances (NCs), support rework and disposition of non-conforming parts, including scrap or internal rework.
  5. Facilitate non-standard work events ensuring process compliance to bring products into conformance.
  6. Inspect and verify materials per specifications, document defects via Non-conformity reports.
  7. Coordinate rework activities with Quality Engineer support.
  8. Provide independent quality approval for processes outside of assembly.
  9. Conduct Form, Fit, and Function testing; document NC reports for non-compliant parts.
  10. Support production line in addressing quality issues and clarifying specifications.
  11. Verify product requirements before release, review inspection journals, and ensure documentation completeness. Approve or reject products accordingly.
  12. Compile and communicate quality reports; lead daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, disposition NC materials, and communicate outcomes.
  13. Perform dispatch inspections to ensure quality before shipment.

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of related production or quality experience.
  • Knowledge of auditing, quality control, statistical tools, Six Sigma, SPC preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments, demonstrate personal integrity, communicate effectively, and use measuring tools and gauges.

Salary Range: $25.00-30.50 per hour, with a $3 differential for night shift.
