Job summary

Unipart Group is launching a fast-paced Quality Inspector role in Coventry, focused on electrical and injection-moulding inputs. You will perform shop-floor inspections, verify components against drawings, and ensure only compliant products move into production.

The role requires hands-on measurement, NCR handling, and documentation in line with SHE procedures, with a strong emphasis on practical quality assurance on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Inspector, Goods-In Inspector, or Quality Technician in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read 2D drawings, GD&T.
• Proficient with handheld metrology equipment.
• Experience inspecting plastic components, electrical sub-assemblies, or welded fabrications.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and physical inspections of incoming materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods against technical specs.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges and inspection equipment to check tolerances and dimensions.
• Identify, log, and isolate non-conforming parts (NCRs) on the shop floor.
• Conduct quality checks on electrified sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, and welds.
• Complete Certificates of Conformity and maintain inspection logs per SHE procedures.
