The Role:

1. Inspect Components: Ensure components meet specifications using route cards, customer drawings, and instructions.
2. Identify non-conforming products, materials, or processes and raise issues in a timely manner. Ensure all non-conformance reports (NCRs) are properly documented and that corrective actions are tracked and closed.
3. Precision Measurement: Use manual tools like height gauges, verniers, and shadow graphs.
4. Documentation: Create quality documentation including First Article Inspection, NCRs, and critical dimensions reports.
5. Communication: Effectively communicate inspection results and deviations to the machining team.
6. Team Player: Thrive in a fast-paced machine shop and inspection environment.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Experience: Mechanical engineering background with inspection experience using manual handheld tools.
2. CMM Skills: Experience with CMM programming is essential.
3. Technical Savvy: Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
4. Quality Focus: Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and ISIR/FAIR requirements.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with internal teams and external customers.
