Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting a Quality Inspector (CMM) for Gloucester to inspect high-value components for marine and oil & gas sectors. You will operate CMM software, use micrometres and gauges, and record inspection results to ensure ISO9001 compliance.

The role offers £17–£19 per hour with training, progression, overtime, an early Friday finish, and a biannual bonus. Hours: Mon-Thu 7am-4pm; Fri 12pm finish. Must be able to commute to the Gloucester workshop.

Qualifications

• Background in ISO9001 environment.
• Experience inspecting high-value precision components.
• Willing to commute to Gloucester workshop.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document defects.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections.
• Use CMM measuring software to conduct inspections and record results.
• Adhere to 7am–4pm Mon-Thu and 12pm finish on Fridays; overtime as needed.
• Support engineering team with documentation and traceability.

Are you a Quality Inspector from a precision engineering background looking for work you can take pride in and more time to enjoy life outside it, inspecting high-value components for the marine and oil & gas industries?

This leading precision machining company manufactures key metal components to mainly Marine / Oil and Gas companies however will supply to any industry. After 61 years they are still growing and are looking for a CNC Programmer to join their tight-knit workshop.

In this role you will be responsible for using CMM measuring software to conduct inspections and performing precision measurements. You will also be using micrometres, callipers and gauges, and working closely with engineering team to maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and related documents.

This role would suit someone who has a background working in an ISO9001 environment as a Quality Inspector who is looking for company benefits and working with high precision manufacturing.

The Role:

• Identify and document defects
• Maintain accurate records of inspections
• Monday – Thursday (7am-4pm) and 12pm finish on Fridays
• Plenty of optional overtime available

The Person:
