Job summary

Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture on the HS2 project is seeking a Quality Inspector to manage independent site inspections and provide assurance that works meet Works Information and design requirements. The role includes on-site training of the Delivery Team and collaboration with the Client to uphold quality standards.

You will work across project sections, supporting fellow inspectors, with a strong focus on coaching, quality assurance, and timely documentation in line with ISO 9001:2015

Qualifications

• Experience in quality role on infrastructure projects.
• Experience in civil engineering projects.
• CSCS Card holder.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train delivery teams to prevent substandard works.
• Arbitrate quality issues between parties to protect quality.
• Prioritise quality in delivery for right-first-time results.
• Communicate QA requirements to delivery teams and subs.
• Check works during progression and on completion against Work Information.
• Report non-conformances to Quality Managers/Engineers.
• Ensure inspections and tests follow plans and Safe System of Work; document promptly.
• Support fellow Quality Inspectors and align with JV policies.
