Job Description:

Bowers & Wilkins designs and manufactures audio products for discerning audiophile consumers. Based at our UK headquarters in Worthing, West Sussex, and reporting to the Quality Manager, the role of Quality Inspector (Woodwork) requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to make accurate measurements on CNC machined wood parts and assembled loudspeaker cabinets in line with production output.

We are seeking two Quality Inspectors—one for the AM shift and one for the PM shift.

1. Taking measurements of critical dimensions on component parts that make up the loudspeaker cabinet.
2. Taking measurements of critical dimensions on the assembled loudspeaker cabinet within the woodwork factory.
3. Fitting parts to the assembled loudspeaker cabinet, visually assessing critical customer-facing steps and gaps.
4. Pressure testing the assembled cabinet for air leaks.
5. Supporting problem-solving and improvement activities related to cabinet assembly.
6. Recording the above information into MS Excel or another database.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in using standard measuring equipment such as digital callipers, straight edges, feeler gauges, height gauges, etc.
• Basic familiarity with MS Excel or similar to record data onto standard templates.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work.
• An understanding of the importance of accurate measurements for manufacturing control.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate professionally with operators, supervisors, and engineers.
