Overview

Quality Inspector - Permanent - Days, Monday to Friday (38-hour week)

Location: Segensworth / Fareham

Salary: Up to £33,000 plus overtime (typically 8 to 16 additional hours per month at 1.5x hourly rate, although not always guaranteed)

Company: Manufactures precision‑machined components, assembled into complex mechanical products for the aerospace sector. Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experienced quality professionals to ensure high standards are met throughout the build process and during final inspections.
  • Use engineering drawings to perform checks with handheld inspection tools (verniers, callipers, micrometres) and conduct visual inspections (including microscope use).
  • Contribute to checks using some automated inspection equipment and ensure complete and accurate documentation from an online clerical perspective.
  • Use a CMM when required; training and support will be provided if needed.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
