Located in Wimborne, Dorset, Eaton's Aerospace division is a global leader in aerospace fuel systems, renowned for delivering fully integrated solutions for both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. What you’ll do:
  • Monitor and validate the Quality of Parts and/or Assemblies and provide specialist inspection capability across business functions.
  • Ensure compliance and drive improvement within the Quality Management System.
  • Inspect partially and fully completed Assemblies to Engineering requirements.
  • Conduct Patrol Inspection of random stages to ensure compliance to drawing and process.
  • Raise NCRs for non-conforming product detected at the goods-in stage and support production detected non-conformities when required.
  • Provide ad-hoc business support for Inspection/measurement of product where required.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing staff to resolve queries.
  • Review completed supplier-generated FAI’s and Grade 1 part control plans, and update MRP and Visual FAIR systems accordingly.
  • Compile FAIRs for internal assembly work to demonstrate conformity.
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineers and Quality Engineering teams.
  • Perform sample product audits of Ship to Stock parts.
  • Support the internal Calibration programme for measurement equipment.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance in collaboration with management.
Qualifications:

5 – 10 years experience in an Inspection environment.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and assembly inspection is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 FAIR requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Understanding of non-conformance processes.
  • Effective communication with Suppliers and Internal Customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail, meticulousness, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage independence and adapt to new information.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100, AS9110, AS9102.
  • Experience inspecting aircraft assemblies is preferred.
  • Proactive approach to quality improvement techniques.
