We are a Aerospace plating company who carries various plating processes. Cadmium, Anodising, Alocrom, Silver, nickel and chrome plating. Various paint finishes. NADCAP Accredited.

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite role where you will play a key part in ensuring that our processes consistently meet customer specifications, industry standards, and drawing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of products and components using calibrated measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges).
• Verify compliance with customer specifications, technical drawings, and internal quality standards.
• Identify, investigate, and document non-conformances (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare and manage 8D reports to address root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise effectively with customers regarding quality issues, ensuring clear communication and professional representation of the company.
• Support and participate in external audits, working closely with auditors to demonstrate compliance with quality management systems.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
• Collaborate with production teams to promote a strong quality culture across the business.

• Proven experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role within a manufacturing, engineering, or surface finishing environment.
• Strong understanding of inspection techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of calibrated measuring equipment.
• Experience in writing and managing NCRs and 8D reports.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in engaging with customers and external auditors.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.

• Experience within the plating or surface finishing industry.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
