Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. As an innovative company offering a wide array of products, we strive to continuously develop new technology and drive process improvement.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during and after manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects. Requires understanding of fundamental mathematics including basic geometry, making precise measurements with appropriate gauges, and basic understanding of part handling and movement.

Responsibilities

  • Check parts for visual defects and anomalies at any point in the manufacturing value stream, including vendor-supplied operations or products
  • Use supplied gages and measuring equipment to ensure parts conform to all stated requirements
  • Secure/quarantine parts that don’t meet quality standards for further review
  • Sort conforming and nonconforming parts to support on-time delivery to customers
  • Perform inspections on purchased products to assess vendor quality
  • Perform inspections at random on the production floor to assess manufactured part quality

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Less than or up to 1 year experience as an inspector or quality assurance employee in a manufacturing environment.
