The basics:

Job Title: Quality Inspector - Goods Inwards Inspector

Location: Ripley

Position: Permanent

Basic salary: £14 - £18.56 per hour

Hours: Monday-Thursday (7.30am-4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-2pm)

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs

Overview:

We now require a Quality Inspector to join the goods inwards inspection department. The Goods-in Inspector is responsible for the inspection, verification, and documentation of all incoming materials, components, and parts to ensure they meet quality, specification, and compliance standards before being accepted into stock or released to manufacturing. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, supplier compliance, and production efficiency.

Working in a modern purpose-built manufacturing facility for a high-end precision engineering business.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Time Served Apprenticeship - beneficial
  • Competent dimensionally checking precision engineered parts against a drawing using hand-held measuring tools such as Verniers, calipers, etc.

Commutable from: Ripley, Heanor, Alfreton, Nottingham and surrounding areas
