Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Quality Inspector in an Electrical/Mechanical Manufacturing Environment.
  • Able to follow test protocols and interpret Mechanical and Electrical Drawings.

Job description

Quality Inspector

One of Carbon60's market leading manufacturing clients are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team on an immediate temporary basis, with long-term scope for permanent.

This role will play a pivotal part, alongside the quality team, in ensuring our clients' strict standards are maintained. Carrying out quality inspection and final acceptance testing of our client's electromechanical products at all stages of manufacturing including: goods-in, in-build, final assembly and packaging.

Hourly Rate: 16- 18 p/h (Circa 32k p/a)

Contract duration: 3-months (potential for permanent)

Location: Redhill

Working hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carry out inspections and testing on raw materials and final products as well as in-process inspections
  • Complete verification and validation inspections on final assemblies
  • Keep databases up-to-date with inspection and test data, as well as writing test/inspection reports - issuing feedback to production when necessary
  • Identify non-conforming products and take relevant action
  • Assist with quality audits and other relevant activities requested by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Quality Inspector in an Electrical/Mechanical Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience in utilising general measuring equipment and CMM, FARO Arm
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards is desirable but not essential
  • Able to follow test protocols to verify final equipment release
  • Able to interpret Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Drawings and Schematics
