Quality Inspector

Hello,
My client in Reading is currently in need of a Quality Inspector due to expansion.

Job Description:

As part of a small team, responsible for inspection activities to ensure the quality of both the product and related process requirements are fully met.

Duties:

1. To produce First Article Inspection Reports and to be able to use a CMM in support of this.
2. To provide roaming and final inspection for all products.
3. To inspect incoming goods from sub-contract suppliers.
4. Liaise with customers/suppliers on all quality matters, queries and non-conformances.
5. To raise Certificates of Conformity and delivery documentation.
6. To aid in the control of external and internal equipment calibrations.
7. To raise sub-contract Purchase Orders on approved suppliers.
8. To check First Off production parts.
9. Liaise with all levels of staff (management to shop floor) on all aspects of quality and continuous improvement opportunities.
10. Support the management in developing a “continuous improvement” culture.
11. To aid the maintenance of current approvals for AS9100 & Nadcap.
12. Other adhoc duties as agreed from time to time by the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager.

Location: Reading
Salary: £40k
