Quality Inspector (Mechanical)

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £16.83 per hour (£35,000 per annum)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 2.30pm

A well-established manufacturer based in Poole is looking to recruit a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join their team.

Working within a team of two, you will undertake first-offs and production inspection for small batch work.

Responsibilities include:

1. Inspecting first-offs and finished products against engineering drawings.
2. Creating and logging NCRs.
3. Producing and filling inspection reports.
4. Overseeing the Junior Inspector to ensure daily tasks are completed, providing support and training.

Candidate requirements:

1. Previous experience in mechanical inspection.
2. Experience using measuring equipment such as bore-mikes, thread gauges, shadow graph, tali-surf, tri-mos, micrometers, height gauges.
3. Experience working to tight tolerances, including tolerances as tight as 0.001 inches.
4. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
5. Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings.
