Job Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will conduct pressure tests and inspections on ATL products, report issues to a Quality Engineer or Supervisor, and contribute to continuous improvement within the Quality Control department. Full training will be provided. We seek candidates with a keen interest in Quality Control and experience with measurement equipment like verniers and height gauges.

Main Duties

1. Inspect and pressure test machined, fabricated, electrical, and composite parts, reporting issues.
2. Inspect, mark, and process Bladders through to Final Assembly and Despatch.
3. Label parts after inspection and maintain records in ERP and Excel logs.
4. Support buddy checks across departments as needed.
5. Conduct derivative testing on raw material samples following work instructions.
6. Collaborate with the Quality team to drive continuous improvement.
7. Ensure production areas’ QC requirements are supported.
8. Use hand metrology equipment for quality control.
9. Produce inspection reports for First Article Inspection items.
10. Maintain QMS logs such as FIA serial numbers and bond viscosity.
11. Assess customer returned bladders for repair or recertification.
12. Raise internal and supplier rejects.
13. Escalate issues promptly.
14. Follow environmentally sustainable practices and seek waste reduction opportunities.

Requirements

1. At least one year of relevant professional experience.
2. Fluent in English.
3. GCSE English & Maths passes.
4. Engineering qualification (advantageous).
5. Experience with basic and electronic metrology equipment.
6. Manufacturing experience (desirable but not essential).
7. Knowledge of ISO QMS and BS EN reporting (desirable).
8. Experience with verniers and height gauges (desirable).
9. Ability to read engineering drawings.
10. Strong communication skills.
11. Knowledge of TS/VDA standards and FIA regulations (desirable).
