Job summary

ALPLA Golborne site is recruiting for a Quality technician to support production with quality control checks and defect containment. The role involves attending shift handovers, performing CCP verifications, supplying test pieces, and ensuring documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality/Compliance/Testing in manufacturing.
• Laboratory based analytical testing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Working as part of the Quality department to conduct quality control checks and identify and contain product defects during production.

• Attends the shift handover meetings communicating the current situation and status of current open non-conformance (fault notes & isolations) which they have been involved in during the shift
• Conduct CCP verification checks.
• Supply and verify the correct defect test pieces to production lines and ensure they are collected back at the end of a production run.
• Confirm the appropriate specifications and documentation is in place and being completed correctly.
• Accurately record data in the electronic quality databases system (CAQ) - Where failings are identified escalat to Management for investigation before the end of the shift.
• Conduct laboratory based analytical testing, as required to support material or colour changes during evenings
• To carry out diligently those duties as requested by the management in accordance with good Health and Safety and quality and food safety practices.
• To ensure that laboratory and Quality station housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.
• To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may, from time to time be reasonably required and which are consistent with the "Main Purpose of the job".
  Previous role within a Quality / Compliance / Testing position within a manufacturing environment - ideally with experience of laboratory based analytical testing
• Highly analytical and exceptional attention to detail

• Awareness and knowledge of food safety policies
