The portfolio is based in West London, and the surrounding Home Counties; including Surrey & Berkshire.

About the Company:
Our client is a respected name in the UK house-building sector, known for creating high-quality homes that exceed customer expectations. Operating across multiple regions with a significant number of active sites, they are committed to delivering excellence, building safety, and sustainable communities.

Role Overview:
The Quality Inspector will play a key role in upholding and improving construction quality standards. Working closely with the production, technical, sales, and customer service teams as well as a specialist M&E team, you will conduct thorough inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement across all stages of the build process. This role involves independent working and significant involvement in the sign-off process through a robust "Ready to Move In" (RTMI) procedure for new homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular inspections on-site to ensure all works meet internal quality benchmarks, regulatory standards, and partner expectations.
  2. Identify defects, non-compliance, and areas for improvement; document and communicate findings clearly to project teams.
  3. Support production teams with quality benchmarking and provide technical guidance as needed.
  4. Lead final inspections of homes for private sale, ensuring they are fully compliant and ready for occupation.
  5. Record detailed inspection data, including photographic evidence, using the company's digital QA system.
  6. Collaborate with regional and group-level teams to provide feedback on materials and workmanship.
  7. Highlight and assist in resolving any issues that could affect building safety, performance, or customer satisfaction.
  8. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and champion quality across all departments.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Strong experience and technical knowledge of UK residential construction, including multi-unit developments and high-rise projects.
  2. Prior experience as a Quality Inspector is preferred, but training may be provided to candidates with relevant skills, behaviours, and technical background.
  3. Thorough understanding of building regulations, NHBC standards and current industry best practice.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  5. Willingness to stay current through CPD and self-directed learning.
  6. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficient in using inspection tools and digital platforms for quality assurance and reporting.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Full UK driving licence required.
