MAZCO Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading precision engineering company at the forefront of delivering high-spec components to the Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Defence sectors. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are actively seeking a seasoned Chief Inspector or a highly experienced Quality Inspector ready to step into a senior role within a dedicated and skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct both visual and dimensional inspection of high-precision machined components.

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met.

• Interpret complex technical drawings and ensure parts are manufactured to exact specifications.

• Lead inspection processes, compile inspection reports, and oversee traceability documentation.

• Utilise CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) systems and traditional hand-held inspection equipment to verify conformance.

• Drive continuous improvement across quality processes and support audits when required.

Essential Requirements:

• Must have proven experience within a precision engineering environment.

• Must have hands-on experience with metal machining in Aerospace, Oil & Gas, or Defence sectors.

• Must have strong capability in visual and dimensional inspection using tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, callipers, and height gauges.

• Must have knowledge and experience with CMM usage and generating full inspection reports.

• A keen eye for detail, strong leadership potential, and the ability to work to tight tolerances and critical deadlines.
