Job summary

A well-known aerospace client is seeking a Quality Inspector for a short-term contract in the south of the UK. The role involves ensuring aerospace components meet customer expectations, maintaining compliance with AS9100 standards, and participating in the New Product Introduction process. Previous aerospace experience and knowledge of FAIR's and CMM PCDMAS machinery are essential. The contract offers competitive hourly rates for up to 45 hours per week.

  • Inspection across work functions such as engineering drawings, work instructions, and job cards.

Job description

Excel Technical Consulting are currently seeking a Quality Inspector for a short-term contract based in the south of the UK for a well-known aerospace client focused on the production and manufacturing of specialist components and parts.

Throughout this contract, you will be responsible for the inspection of aerospace components, ensuring that the product conforms to customer expectations and standards, whilst partaking in their material review board and the approval of work instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Granting certificates of conformity to approved materials and components
  • Maintaining AS9100 system requirements
  • Monitoring and review of operating procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance
  • Recognise areas in need of continuous improvement
  • Participation in New Product Introduction
  • Inspection across work functions such as engineering drawings, work instructions, and job cards

In addition to the mentioned responsibilities, our client is looking for prior experience within an aerospace environment as well as knowledge of FAIR\'s and CMM PCDMAS machinery. With all of this in mind, the contract will offer a competitive hourly rate dependant on your own experience to working Monday to Friday for up to 45 hours each week.
