Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Precision Engineering

Location: Ferndown, Dorset Employment

Salary: GBP17 p/h

About the Company:

Our client are a leading precision engineering business based in Ferndown who specialise in high-quality, close-tolerance components for aerospace, defence, and various other sectors.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Inspector to carry out manual inspection for batch production and first-off components. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our output meets exacting customer and aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual inspection of complex precision parts using tools such as micrometers, verniers, gauges, and shadowgraphs

• Conduct first-off and batch inspections to identify deviations and ensure conformity

• Produce and verify First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 standards

• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to address non-conformances and promote corrective action

• Maintain accurate records and inspection logs in line with internal and customer quality requirements

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in a precision engineering environment

• Strong practical knowledge of manual inspection tools and techniques

• Demonstrated ability to compile FAIRs to AS9102

• Attention to detail and high accuracy in measurements and reporting

• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 systems (preferred)

• CMM experience an advantage but not essential
