Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Rate: GBP30000-GBP35000 per annum

Location: Reading

Hours: Monday- Friday, 40hours per week

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Goods-In Quality Inspector to join our team, responsible for ensuring all incoming materials and components meet specified quality standards before they are accepted into production.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:

• Inspect incoming goods and materials
• Verify supplier documentation
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Identify, record, and report non-conforming materials to the relevant internal teams and suppliers.
• Collaborate with the purchasing and quality departments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records in line with company procedures.
• Operate inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection

Skills and experience required for this Quality Inspector role:

• Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
• Proficient in the use of standard measuring equipment (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer literacy
