Qualifications

Job Description

Due to Tenon’s continued expansion as a growing precision engineering company which operates fabrication, CNC machining and assembly workshops, we are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to support the Inspection Team based in Dorking.

Tenon’s engineering skills and knowledge apply to many industry sectors including scientific instrumentation, materials testing equipment, aviation, medical instrumentation, and quality control analysis. Our investment in people, equipment and systems allow our highly skilled team to consistently meet and exceed expectations. The ideal candidate is a diligent, skilled, and organised inspector who has a sound understanding of precision machining and wants to grow with an ambitious company. Responsibilities and key skills are:

  1. Goods in inspection
  2. First off inspections: using handheld instruments to measure parts i.e. Micrometers, DTIs, Verniers etc, Trimos, Shadowgraph, Surtronic, Laser Mic.
  3. In flow inspection
  4. Final inspection of components
  5. Experience of operating CMMs & programming using PC-DMIS
  6. Has an excellent understanding of technical drawings and GD&T
  7. Experience working to ISO quality systems and familiar with documenting processes & standards
  8. Willingness to participate in improvement activities across the business
  9. Assist in problem solving when issues arise

Working hours: 07.00 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.00 to 12 noon on Friday, 30 mins paid lunch. 20 days holiday per annum, + 8 statutory bank holidays; Company pension; onsite parking; non-contributory health cash plan.
