Job summary

E3recruitment is recruiting for a permanent Quality Inspector in Doncaster. This full-time role offers a four-day working week and 31 days of holiday including bank holidays.

You will inspect specialist vehicle conversions, ensure correct installation and data accuracy, and support handovers with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. Applicants should have prior experience in a quality role within manufacturing or automotive environments and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Inspector or similar in manufacturing or automotive.
• Ability to record results on tablet-based systems.
• Full UK driving licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out final inspections on specialist vehicle conversions.
• Record inspection results using a tablet-based quality management system.
• Operate vehicle weigh pads and record conversion weights.
• Complete quality documentation and inspection reports.
• Support vehicle handovers, including occasional customer interaction.
• Work with Workshop Compliance Manager to maintain quality standards.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with production teams.
• Maintain housekeeping and health & safety procedures.

Job description

Four day working week, permanent position offering job security, 31 days holiday including bank holidays. Join one of the UK’s leading specialist vehicle conversion businesses. The company is renowned for delivering high-quality fleet and commercial vehicle solutions for customers across the UK.

The role is based in Doncaster, commutable from the M18 and A1 with free onsite parking.

As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be responsible for carrying out final inspections on specialist vehicle conversions, identifying any defects and ensuring all work has been completed accurately before vehicles are handed over to customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector role:

• Ensure all components, fittings and equipment have been installed correctly and are fully operational.
• Record inspection results using a tablet-based quality management system.
• Operate vehicle weigh pads and accurately record conversion weights.
• Complete all quality documentation and inspection reports.
• Support vehicle handovers, including occasional customer interaction.
• Work closely with the Workshop Compliance Manager and Workshop Manager to maintain quality standards.
• Identify defects and work with production teams to ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow all Health & Safety procedures.

You would be suitable for the role should you have previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, PDI Inspector, Vehicle Inspector or within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
