Job description

Quality Inspector required.

Do you have previous experience visually and dimensionally checking components?

If so, then please read on!

The Basics:

Role: Quality Inspector
Location: Derby
Shift and Pay:

  1. Monday to Thursday am to 6pm (48hrs - day shift)
  2. Level 1: £16.75 per hour/£41808 per annum
  3. Level 2: £17.75/£44304
  4. Level 3: £18.83/£46999
  5. Overtime: Paid at x1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays

Holidays/Benefits: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, after every 5 years' service an extra day holiday up to a max of 4 days, annual pay rises negotiated yearly, pension, modern work environment, free parking, uniform.

Overview:

We now require a Quality Inspector to join the inspection department. You will be tasked to inspect machined and fabricated components with hand-held measuring tools associated within a precision engineering environment. Working in a modern purpose-built manufacturing facility for a high-end precision engineering business.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate / Quality inspector may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  1. Time Served Apprenticeship - beneficial
  2. Competent at reading engineering drawings
  3. Competent dimensionally checking precision engineered parts against a drawing using hand-held measuring tools such as Verniers, calipers etc.

Commutable from: Derby, Burton, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
