gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Quality Inspector to work at their facility near Darwen.

Performance Objectives

  1. Carry out first off, FAIRS, and batch inspections daily.
  2. Ensure all non-conforming work is segregated, clearly identified, and reported to MRB via the NCR process.
  3. Provide reports to managers on elements which adversely affect the Quality System.
  4. Ensure all documentation and calibration of equipment is current and correct.
  5. Ensure that all inspection standards, as agreed with customer specifications, are carried out effectively before processing and at the inspection/despatch stage.
  6. Assist with technical disputes with other department managers and operators.
  7. Ensure full compliance with the Company quality system, including international standards ISO 9001:2008 & AS9100, and customer approvals.
  8. Identify continuous improvement techniques to help achieve department and business objectives.
  9. Support system improvement project teams to maintain product flow and instigate best practices.
  10. Uphold processes that ensure effective Health, Safety, and Environmental practices as defined by the Brookhouse Aerospace HSE Management System.

Person Specification

  • Focus on Quality and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems at an Inspector level (Epicor, SAP, Sage, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret drawings accurately
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, quality system design, and documentation
  • Desirable: AS EN 9100 & BSEN 9001 QMS certification
  • Desirable: Experience with Hardness, Conductivity, Tensile, and Electrical Bond Testing
