The Impact You\'ll Make in this Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Inspecting product to determine compliance with order specifications, customer requirements, and company\'s quality control system
  • Assuring compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards
  • Excellent visual skills to detect minute non-conformances (ex: cracks, voids, tool marks, etc.)
  • Operate small hand tools and process equipment with dexterity
  • Work with precision tools and equipment using good judgment to prevent damage to equipment, to understand equipment operation, and to be efficient
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
  • Previous quality inspection experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Applicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Experience in an aerospace or defense related industry
  • Security Clearance

The starting rate of pay for this position is $22.52. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate\'s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
