Overview

We are recruiting a Quality Inspector for our reputable client (permanent position).

Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire

Salary: £33,500 - £36,500

Hours: Monday-Friday (half-day Friday finish)

Overtime: Available

Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK

Chippenham - Permanent Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect metal components using precision tools
  • Verify compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485)
  • Analyse inspection data, prepare reports, and highlight trends
  • Identify non-conformities and collaborate with production
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records for traceability
  • Contribute to the development of QA policies and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a machining/manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and materials
  • Skilled in the use of inspection tools and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of QMS and industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
  • Six Sigma/Lean training or certification
  • Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA
  • Familiarity with quality/data analysis software
