Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Quality Inspector in Cambridge to join the Aerospace team. You will conduct first article inspections, perform electrical testing and interpret complex engineering drawings to ensure compliance, accuracy and fault‑free parts.

The role offers hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, health insurance and a pension scheme. A background in aerospace quality, with knowledge of AS9100 or similar standards, and strong IT skills are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Background in a Quality environment, ideally in Aerospace.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Competence in electrical testing methodologies.
• Strong IT capability across Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of EASA 21, 145, or AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducting first article inspections and producing accurate, compliant inspection reports
• Performing electrical testing including continuity, insulation, bonding and functional testing
• Interpreting multi-level technical drawings and specifications
• Raising non-conformance reports and liaising with design teams or suppliers
• Ensuring adherence to internal quality systems and external AS9100 and regulatory requirements
