Job description
Overview

You will be working with the Quality team, taking a proactive approach to solving quality issues ensuring Goods in Inspection, Supplier FAI, and Customer FAI's are completed promptly, and reports are well maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Measure engineering components to drawings and technical specifications.
  • Review supplier's paperwork to ensure parts meet specifications and create ISIR/FAI packs.
  • Carry out conditional assessments of returned parts/products to understand condition and report findings.
  • Quarantine non-conforming products.
  • Raise claims using the MRP system and coordinate the return of non-conforming products to suppliers via liaising with purchasing.
  • Stock check when required as part of containment action.
  • Random outgoing product inspection and report to Quality.
  • Liaise with Customers/Suppliers regarding rejects or quality issues.
  • Maintain and improve 5S standard in Quality Quarantine area and Inspection area.
Qualifications
  • HNC, or an Equivalent Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Proficient with using a multitude of test and precision measuring equipment, as well as manual hand tools such as torque wrenches, micrometer, Vernier caliper, etc.
  • IT literate and conversant with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
