Job summary

MTrec Ltd Technical is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet specifications from goods inwards to final inspection. You will maintain calibration, manage non-conformances and root-cause analysis, and keep meticulous records.

You should have experience in a similar quality role with proficiency in quality tools, organised workflow, and effective communication. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Ability to use quality measuring tools/equipment.
• Engineering or manufacturing background considered essential.

Responsibilities

• Goods inwards inspection and ensure compliance to specification.
• Control of non-conformance, maintain records and corrective actions.
• Manage final inspection of product and overall product quality.
• Maintain calibration system and assess conformance to specification.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers when necessary.
• Handle customer returns and root cause analysis using 8D/CAUSE/EFFECT.
• Maintain relevant documentation and records.

The Role

• Will be responsible for goods inwards inspection.
• You will ensure compliance to specification.
• Controls of non-conformance, retaining records and corrective and preventative actions.
• Manage final inspection of product.
• Will ensure quality of product in accordance with specification and standards.
• Maintaining calibration system.
• Assess for conformance to specification.
• Speak with customers and suppliers where necessary.
• Control of customer returns.
• Root cause through using 8D, cause and effect, etc.
• Maintenance of documentation.

The Person

• Experience in a similar role with in quality.
• Ability to use quality measuring tools/equipment.
• Must be organised, accurate and self-motivated.
• Engineering or manufacturing experience essential.
• Analytical thinking combined with effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
