Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM (early finish!)
We’re looking for a detail-driven Quality Inspector to join our high-performing manufacturing team. This is your chance to play a key part in maintaining precision and excellence across all products, ensuring they meet AS9100 and EASA Part 21 standards. As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be essential in ensuring that every component—whether made in-house or supplied externally—meets the highest standards.
️ Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:As a Quality Inspector, you will:
Perform mechanical inspections on piece parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
Use a wide range of precision hand tools and CMM inspection equipment
Act as a Nominated DQR for product release on specified customer products
Certify Civil Aerospace products for release
Verify supplier FAIRs and compile internal FAIRs to AS9102
Coordinate calibration efforts across mechanical and electrical systems
Develop and manage GRIPs (Goods Inwards Inspection Plans) with suppliers
Produce detailed NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) for internal and external distribution
Use Microsoft Office to maintain accurate calibration records
Communicate effectively with all internal departments, both in writing and verbally
Support customer site visits as required
Flag and address quality issues to reduce waste
Follow SOPs for mechanical inspections to ensure compliance and consistency
To succeed as a Quality Inspector, you’ll need:
Solid experience in a mechanical Quality Inspector role
Strong background in manufacturing with hands-on experience using mechanical measuring equipment
Confidence with FAIRs to AS9102 (essential)
Proficiency in using a wide range of inspection tools, including CNC CMM (CE Johansson experience is a plus)
Proven ability to write accurate, detailed reports on non-conforming products
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong skills in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
