We are expanding our team and seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Inspection Team Leader to join FormelD Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting customer containment and rework activities to ensure timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and quality, meeting or exceeding customer expectations
- Supporting achievement of Customer Key Project Indicators (KPIs)
- Supervising a team of permanent Quality Inspectors, temporary support staff, and ad hoc team members such as Mechanics and Electricians
- Ensuring all team members are adequately trained and equipped with necessary tools
- Coordinating and executing quality containment and rework projects to protect OEM’s production
- Passing acceptable parts online without disrupting the customer’s build process
- Onboarding and inducting new employees according to company standards
- Training and setting standards for all quality inspection and rework activities, including use of eQCC system
- Conducting random checks and audits for process adherence and quality compliance
- Creating Statements of Work for rework and inspection projects
- Ensuring smooth material flow and reworking parts as required
- Using eQCC for data capture on all projects
- Liaising with OEM, customers, and suppliers (internal and external)
- Ensuring accurate and timely timesheet submissions
- Promoting waste minimization and safety awareness
- Supporting accident reporting and prevention initiatives
- Following procedures and reporting standards
- Driving continuous improvement and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting HR processes related to employee performance and discipline
Requirements:
- Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong background in conducting and supporting quality audits
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, leading by example
- Motivational skills to ensure team engagement
- Customer management experience
- Good knowledge of eQCC equipment and MS Office tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive and driven
- Adherence to company SOPs, health and safety standards
- Valid UK driving license and RTW in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship offered)
