We are expanding our team and seeking a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join the FormelD Operations team. To succeed, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring customer containment and rework activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, meeting or exceeding customer expectations
- Supporting achievement of Customer Key Project Indicators (KPIs)
- Supervising a team of permanent Quality Inspectors, temporary staff, and adhoc team members such as Mechanics and Electricians
- Ensuring all team members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively
- Coordinating and executing quality containment and rework projects to protect OEM production
- Passing acceptable parts online to prevent disruptions to the customer's build
- Leading onboarding and induction processes for new employees
- Training the team on quality inspection and reworking activities, including the use of eQCC system
- Conducting random checks and audits to ensure process adherence and quality compliance
- Creating Statements of Work for reworking and inspection projects
- Ensuring smooth material flow, inspecting and reworking parts as required
- Using eQCC for data capture on all projects
- Liaising with OEMs, customers, and suppliers (internal and external)
- Supporting accurate and timely timesheet submissions
- Promoting waste reduction and accident prevention
- Following accident procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing relationships with internal and external customers
- Following HR procedures for employee performance and discipline management
Requirements:
- Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry
- Proven experience in a similar quality leadership role
- Strong background in conducting and supporting quality audits
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to motivate and engage teams
- Customer management experience
- Good knowledge of eQCC equipment and MS Office tools
- Strong communication, teamwork, and initiative-taking skills
- Adherence to company procedures, health and safety standards, and quality standards
- Valid UK driving license and RTW in the UK without restrictions (please note, sponsorship is not offered)
