Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd in Ely is seeking a Quality Inspection and Packing Operative for a busy manufacturing environment. You will inspect, test and pack products ready for dispatch, supporting the production team and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is a 6-month fixed term contract with day/evening shifts; you should be hands-on, detail-oriented and mechanically minded, with a proactive attitude and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production or assembly.
• Good attention to detail and a strong quality mindset.
• Practical and mechanically minded approach.
• Able to follow instructions and work accurately.
• Good team player with a positive attitude.
• Reliable, organised and willing to learn.
• Basic technical drawing knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Check finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Prepare and package goods accurately for dispatch
• Pick and organise components for production
• Follow job instructions, drawings and established procedures
• Complete production records and paperwork accurately
• Work with colleagues to meet daily production targets
• Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
• Support other areas of production when required
