Job description

About the role:

This is a 0.4 FTE (Part time) role

LSEC is committed to driving up academic standards and achieving outstanding levels of performance. We are looking for a dedicated member to join our team and support our operational and strategic priorities.

The Quality Improvement Officer will play a significant part in enhancing the quality and improvement of teaching, learningand assessment (TLA). The role also includes managing the lesson visit process, performing administrative duties, tracking new staff, and conducting various audits (including drops, lesson walks, lesson visits, new staff integration, action plans, policy adherence, and progress reviews for apprenticeships). The position requires conducting and scheduling lesson visits, ensuring their completion, implementing actions post-lesson visits, and facilitating teaching triangles to enhance collaborative teaching practices.

The role involves visiting our sub-contracted provision partner premises to review TLA and quality compliance according to an agreed audit schedule, producing reports, carrying out follow-up activities, and reviewing progress on identified actions or areas for development. Additionally, the officer will act as the Quality Link for Apprenticeships and Employment and Innovation, involving assessment and feedback activities, work scrutiny, and other quality assurance tasks.

Skills and Experience
Ideally the post holder will be educated to a degree level with a qualification in teaching or willing to work towards this. They will also be skilled in working towards dealines and working on their own initative, whilst being committed to the creation of a student-centred culture.
