Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Improvement Leader to join our Quality & Laboratory Team at our Bridge of Weir site. In this newly created role, you will act as the deputy to the Quality Excellence Manager, focusing on enhancing Quality Performance and creating a preventative culture. You will monitor and audit processes related to crust and finished leather quality, ensuring standards are met while analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement. Your collaborative efforts with existing cross-functional teams will support our commitment to delivering superior product quality that exceeds customer expectations. This role is integral to achieving our sustainability and manufacturing objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree (or equivalent) qualification; appropriate certifications in quality management preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven record of achieving improvements in Quality metrics.
  • Trained in Root Cause Analysis and familiar with quality management standards such as IATF16949, ISO9001, and ISO9100.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, including SPC, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, with a focus on collaboration.
  • Ability to manage processes and ensure compliance while maintaining attention to detail.
