Job summary

A Scottish Health Board is seeking a Quality Improvement Co-ordinator to join the Clinical Governance and Professional Practice Team. The successful applicant will support Nursing Quality Improvement Projects and work with multidisciplinary teams. This fixed-term position in Stornoway offers a salary of £41,608 - £50,702 plus additional allowances, requiring excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Experience in Nursing Quality Improvement Projects preferred.

Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum

37 hours per week

Fixed Term or Secondment Post – 12 months

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and positive person to join the Clinical Governance and Professional Practice Team as Quality Improvement Co-ordinator. The post holder will play a key role in supporting Nursing Quality Improvement Projects throughout NHS Western Isles including Excellence in Care and the Health Care Staffing Programme.

The post is based in Stornoway at the Western Isles Health Board and the post holder will be required to travel between sites; this may also involve significant travel.

You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and be supporting frontline teams. You will work with external stakeholders in Healthcare Improvement Scotland and senior management to maximise an integrated multidisciplinary approach to the Quality and Safety Agenda, using the Model of Improvement methodology.
