Join Our Technical Team at The Compleat Food Group!


We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Quality Group Leader to lead our team of Quality Control Technicians. In this key role, you’ll support our commitment to compliance with Group, Customer, and BRC standards while driving continuous improvement across the business. You'll play a vital part in upholding our due diligence processes and ensuring product quality at every step.

Working Hours: 3 on 3 off; 6am to 6pm


Your Duties Will Include:

  1. Conduct food safety risk assessments.
  2. Manage validations.
  3. Design CCP, vegan cleaning, allergen cleaning, and prerequisites validations following Group and customer standards.
  4. Create schedules for validations and verifications. Perform validations and verifications. Coach and supervise team members in performing validations and verifications.
  5. Review cleaning instruction cards to ensure effective cleaning to the correct standard.
  6. Support HACCP team as required.
  7. Sample collection as needed.
  8. Prepare governance reports with relevant information.
  9. Conduct internal audits: quality system, fabrication, CCPs, traceability, mass balance, GMP audits.
  10. Analyze non-conformances, work with departments for corrective actions, and ensure timely closure.
  11. Ensure CCPs are properly trained and documented.
  12. Update auditing templates and procedures; coach internal auditors.
  13. Support Factory Technical Manager to maintain audit readiness.
  14. Liaise with pest control contractors and manage related reports and non-conformance closures.
  15. Manage Quality Control Technicians responsible for goods-in checks, customer complaints, and export documentation.
  16. Provide training, coaching, and adequate cover for the site.
  17. Manage export documentation based on traceability.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food industry.
  • Food safety level 3 qualification.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems.
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Experience managing a small team is advantageous.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Good analytical and people management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a flexible approach.
  • Good time management and opportunity identification skills.
  • Ability to engage with colleagues at all levels and act as a site expert.
