Job summary

Bouygues Construction SA is seeking a Quality & Environmental Engineer to join the VSL UK project team in Birmingham. You will support the Project Quality and Environmental Management Plans, carry out inspections and audits, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

You will work with operational teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with procedures, client requirements and industry standards, contributing to the safe and sustainable delivery of the Eternal Wall of

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, geotechnical, or construction projects.
Experience implementing quality and environmental management systems on live construction sites.
Experience carrying out inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring on projects.
Experience with major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support development and continual improvement of the Project Quality Management Plan.
Prepare, maintain, and monitor ITPs, Quality Plans, Quality Objectives, and related docs.
Carry out quality inspections and site audits to verify compliance with requirements.
Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and lessons learned processes.
Support environmental management by implementing the Environmental Plan and monitoring compliance.
Utilise digital platforms to manage inspections, reporting, and compliance.
