Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Environment Health Safety Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing health and safety protocols, conducting accident investigations, ensuring environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, and providing occupational health and safety training to employees. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing quality protocols, conducting audits, and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance (QA) and control (QC) procedures for all production lines.
  • Perform regular quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet internal and customer specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date quality-related documentation, ensuring it is accessible to stakeholders.
  • Lead internal audits, identify non-conformities (NCR), and drive corrective actions.
  • Review and approve customer certification of conformity, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any complaints related to product quality.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance employee knowledge of quality standards and procedures.
  • ISO 9001 compliance procedures

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

  • Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all HSE policies, risk assessments, and safety handbooks are current and compliant with regulations.
  • Coordinate regular ISO audits and ensure all health assessments and HSE consultations are up to date.
  • Oversee safety protocols related to workplace equipment, ensuring it adheres to safety standards before commissioning.
  • Lead safety training programs for new employees, ensuring compliance with equipment handling and safety protocols.
  • Maintain high safety standards for premises (e.g., lighting, housekeeping) and implement emergency procedures (e.g., fire risk assessments, safety drills).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience in QA or engineering.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and HSE management within a manufacturing environment, ideally plastic extrusion.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to monitoring and improving production processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead corrective actions.
