Leading automotive first and second tier supplier is seeking a Quality Manager. You will ensure the organization achieves the required quality accreditations and standards and proactively lead the Quality Engineering team.
Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton
Salary: Negotiable + Car Allowance + Pension
The Role
The Quality Manager will spearhead product and process excellence within a thriving, fast-paced automotive environment. Responsibilities include establishing, implementing, and maintaining processes for the Quality Management System, managing non-conformities, ensuring product safety requirements are met, and reporting to the Managing Director.
Managing quality issues with customers and suppliers, acting as the Management and Customer Representative for Quality Management, including all automotive certifications like IATF.
Implementing preventive and evaluation tools, product inspection/testing, FMEA, Poke Yoke, and robust problem-solving using 8D processes. Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, be able to interpret technical drawings, and manage quality concerns in a manufacturing environment. Leadership experience with quality engineers is essential.
Proficiency in engineering tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause analysis, and auditing to IATF 16949 as a Lead Auditor. Some travel to supplier and customer sites may be required. This is a site-based role, working Monday to Friday with a lunchtime finish on Fridays.
