Job description

Leading automotive first and second tier supplier is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager. You will ensure the organization achieves the required quality accreditations and standards and proactively lead the Quality Engineering team.

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Negotiable + Car Allowance + Pension

Responsibilities:

• Ensure processes needed for the Quality Management System are established, implemented, and maintained.
• Manage quality-related issues with customers and suppliers.
• Implement and oversee preventive and evaluation tools such as product inspection, testing, FMEA, Poke Yoke, and 8D problem-solving processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Report the performance of the QMS to the Managing Director.

Requirements:

• Proven background in engineering with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience managing quality engineering concerns in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership skills to manage and influence a team of quality engineers.
• Knowledge of engineering tools like FMEA, 8D, Root Cause analysis, and auditing to IATF 16949 as a Lead Auditor.

This role involves some travel to supplied and customer sites. It is a site-based position working Monday to Friday with a lunchtime finish on Fridays.
