Quality Engineering Lead QA Automation AI

Quality Engineering Lead (QA Automation AI SaaS) Reigate / WFH to £105k

Are you a senior QA Engineer with a deep knowledge of modern software testing within SaaS Azure environments?

You could be progressing your career in a hands-on leadership role at a global FinTech, enjoying flexible working and a range of benefits.

As QA Engineering Lead, you'll shape the strategic approach to quality for the Platform Team, while remaining hands-on. You'll define and implement the QA strategy for the platform, driving improvements to automation, processes, tooling and engineering standards. The team is already embracing AI assisted development, so you'll work in an AI heavy environment using a range of modern tools and approaches, identifying where agentic coding can improve test coverage and engineering productivity.

This is both a technical and leadership role, with two direct reports. You'll act as a thought leader across QA, challenging existing practices, introducing better ways of working and helping engineering teams embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

You'll remain hands-on with test automation, working with tools including Playwright and Cypress, alongside security testing technologies. You'll balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, ensuring the platform remains robust, secure and reliable as it evolves.

Location / WFH:

There's a flexible work from home hybrid model, you'll join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings with the other three days work from home.

About you:

• You're an experienced, automation focussed QA Engineer with a strong knowledge of Playwright and AI tools
• You have worked in product led SaaS environments
• You're comfortable setting the test strategy and able to have influence across a wider technology function
• You have technical leadership / management experience
• You have C# coding skills
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with stakeholder management skills
