Are you passionate about embedding quality-first principles across cutting-edge engineering teams? My client, a leading name in the digital insurance space, is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to drive excellence across their distributed, cloud-based development environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of skilled Quality Engineers, helping shape strategy, introduce best-in-class automation practices, and deliver robust, scalable solutions in a dynamic, agile setting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead, mentor and support Quality Engineers across multiple cross-functional squads
Champion quality engineering standards, automation, and BDD practices across the SDLC
Define and implement test strategies across UI, API, Back End, performance, and security
Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and cloud- environments
Collaborate with engineering, product and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business and user needs
Drive continuous improvement through effective quality metrics, governance, and feedback loops
Manage third-party quality partnerships and play a key role in growing internal QE capability
What You'll Bring:
Proven leadership in quality engineering within agile, DevOps-driven teams
Deep hands-on expertise with automation frameworks and tools (eg, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber)
Experience with CI/CD (eg, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
Strong background in cloud- testing (AWS/Azure), microservices, and infrastructure-as-code environments
Knowledge of performance (eg, JMeter, Gatling) and security testing tools (eg, ZAP, SAST/DAST)
Ability to drive BDD adoption and facilitate collaboration across tech and business
Data-driven mindset with experience in defining and tracking quality KPIs
Nice to Have:
Background in insurance or financial services
Familiarity with FCA and regulatory testing frameworks
Relevant certifications (eg, ISTQB, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Certified Agile Tester)
