Job summary

Mercury Hampton Contract is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support a major transmission/infrastructure project in Inverness. You will manage ITPs, perform site quality inspections and coordinate hold points, witness points and testing.

The role requires strong ISO 9001 knowledge, experience with NCRs and audit support, and the ability to interpret drawings and technical standards for civil and electrical works. This is a long-term contract with a negotiable rate.

Qualifications

• Must have QA/QC experience within transmission, utilities, power or major infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs and quality management systems.
• Experience with NCRs, audits and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Carry out site quality inspections across civil & electrical works.
• Coordinate inspections, hold points, witness points and testing.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quality documentation.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions and close-out.
• Ensure quality records, test results and handover documentation are completed.
• Support audits, client inspections and quality reviews.
• Ensure testing & commissioning activities meet approved procedures.
• Compile as-built records and quality dossiers for project handover.
