Quality Engineer – Switchgear/Busbar, Burnfoot

Vertiv, formerly E&I Engineering, is hiring for a Quality Engineer. This is a new role as part of our continuous improvement plan. With over 30 years of experience, we specialize in delivering high-quality integrated power solutions, technical services, project management, and customer support for every client project.

Position Summary

A Quality Engineer at Vertiv provides FMEAs and Control Plans, drives Continuous Improvement, conducts audits, and ensures performance to workmanship standards. They investigate and lead Corrective Actions, plan, implement, and coordinate corrective, preventive, and technical controls of processes and products. They develop and implement an effective quality system related to manufacturing, including quality planning, receiving inspection, and Quality Management System audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification of root causes and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in product and process development teams.
• Analyze failure reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Collect, analyze, and report measurement statistics and metrics.
• Maintain effective communication with the plant quality team for product releases and manufacturing quality support.
• Create control plans, process flows, and PFMEAs for new product development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and Product Management to improve product and service quality.
• Investigate and resolve QA projects as assigned.
• Coordinate with Supplier Quality.
• Participate as an auditor of the Vertiv Quality Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in Engineering or a related field, or at least four years of relevant experience in quality assurance.
• Proficiency with word processing, databases, data analysis, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing software.
• Knowledge of data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentations.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9000.
