Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Tewkesbury

The Opportunity - Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s team at their state-of-the-art facility in Tewkesbury on a permanent basis.

Our client designs and manufactures complex mechanical products for the aerospace and defence sectors worldwide.

Key responsibilities include APQP and PPAP processes; demonstrable experience in these areas is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support APQP integration and implementation into the NPI process.
  • Support advanced quality planning activities.
  • Incorporate customer requirements into NPI processes.
  • Integrate lessons learned into APQP activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor PPAP activities.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements.
  • Support cross-functional teams in handling non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Resolve corrective actions during audits.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with APQP and PPAP applications.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 environment.
  • Knowledge of and practical experience with PFMEA.
  • Experience supporting NPI processes.
  • Effective internal and external communication skills.
