Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a Quality Engineer to provide on-site support for assessment, inspection, investigation and resolution of quarantined materials within the warehouse. You will identify non-conformances, raise and manage NCRs, and support defect resolution with suppliers and engineering teams to keep projects on track.

The role covers HVAC, electrical, pumps and rotating equipment, valves and mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance or Inspection within nuclear, power generation, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong experience of NCR management, defect investigation and root cause analysis.
• Ability to perform physical inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Understanding of supplier quality processes and defect resolution.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation, manufacturing records and quality dossiers.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across warehouse, project, engineering and supplier organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site quality engineering support for assessment, inspection, investigation and resolution of quarantined materials.
• Identify non-conformances and raise/manage NCRs.
• Support defect resolution with suppliers and engineering teams.
• Drive timely disposition of materials to minimise delays to construction and commissioning.
